Preclinical Molecular Imaging

The Hannover Medical School (MHH), with about 10.000 employees the biggest company of Lower Saxony, is a university institution for research and teaching in the human and dental medicine and a university hospital of supra-maximum medical care. Research, teaching, medical care and administration work hand in hand in the integration model at the MHH-campus.
The working group for Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry at the Clinic for Nuclear Medicine at Hannover Medical School works on the development of innovative radiopharmaceuticals for the diagnosis and therapy of cancer and other pathological processes. Our focus is on the synthesis and characterization of new radiotracers for positron emission tomography (PET) and other nuclear medicine imaging technologies as well as radiotracer-based therapy. Together with the working group of Preclinical Molecular Imaging, novel radiopharmaceuticals and imaging strategies are tested and evaluated towards translational approaches.

Your task
  • Development of radiolabelling of macromolecules and -structures
  • Method for radiolabelling of cells for cell tracking in vivo
  • Development of pre-targeting strategies for molecular imaging
  • In vitro evaluation of novel radiolabelled structures and molecules
  • Preclinical in vivo studies of the novel radiopharmaceuticals and systems
  • Imaging data evaluation, writing manuscripts and presenting results and data

Our requirements
  • Master degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, (Radio-) Pharmacy or similiar subjects
  • Fluent in English and German (preferred)
  • Advantageous: Experience with radioactivity / radiation safety and / or preclinical research
